The last answer should be 8x^-5/3. I forgot the negative sign.
@CoolVibesChannal Says:
What if we have a negative numerical as if -(216)^2/3. You did not cover that
@edwardl2153 Says:
more correctly, the exponent inside the radical should be outside: x^(m/n) = (ⁿ√x)^m this is because when x is negative, the numbers inside the radicals cannot be multiplied together. for example, (-2)^(1/2) = √-2 = √2 i (-2)^(2/4) = ⁴√((-2)²) = ⁴√4 = √2 as you can see, the answers are different even though 1/2 and 2/4 are equivalent. but if the exponent is outside the radical, (-2)^(1/2) = √-2 = √2 i (-2)^(2/4) = (⁴√-2)² = ((1+i)/⁴√2)² = 2i/√2 = √2 i as you can see, the answers are now the same. many people have this misunderstanding because most textbooks and videos (like this one) puts the exponent inside the radical, which is not correct. this is why √(x²) ≠ x , as if x=-5 √((-5)²)=√25=5 and -5≠5.

Switching between exponential and radical forms can be tricky at first, but this video makes it so much more manageable! I love how each step is clearly explained with examples. I’ve been working on similar algebra topics, and SolutionInn has been super helpful for extra practice problems.
