2:15 may i ask why it just increases the amount of lower boiling point and not the higher one, also how many times does the evaporation and condensing repeat in fractioning column to reach the thermomemter?

I thought the chemical w the lower boiling point is heated until the boiling point and then it evaporates and condenses and the one with the higher boiling point is never vapourised. I’m confused!
