a easy way of doing problems like this is add up all the known values, 82+89+85+96=352, and since your adding a value just do 90 x 5 which is 450, 450-352=98. this is why i hate statistics, some statistics is mental math, other aspects you need to do a formula for 1 part so you can use it for the 2nd part and i wanna rip my hair out.
you can do the first example in your head without the formula
