In this video, we look at electron microscopy. First we explore why electron microscopes have a higher resolution than light microscopes. We then explore how electron microscopes work before looking at their advantages and disadvantages. Finally, we compare the transmission electron microscope with the scanning electron microscope.

I have just found out that I’ve gotten a 9 in biology, chemistry and physics. I am currently studying in year 10, and I have achieved these scores for my end of year mock exams. I’d just like to thank you for all the amazing videos that you’ve provided to students. I’m hoping that I can replicate these results in my actual GCSE mock and real GCSE exams!
