<<@arcanealchemist3190 says : yep, our idea of an orbit, and the idea of a satellite, are pretty much made up and physics doesnt actually put celestial objects into neat categoires like planets and moons and such.>> <<@ferdinandGigante7919 says : I hate you for making me know thia>> <<@TrinainaChellaboina says : Is bro a stupid person>> <<@Rainyman63 says : Our moon was created by a collision with another planet and consists largely of the same matter as earth. It's also way larger than moons typically are. If you view Earth and Moon as a system of twin planets, both of them orbiting the sun together suddenly makes absolute sense.>> <<@davidmehlhop4496 says : Thank you for the Star Wars reference>> <<@31Rexitron57 says : What if we put in Sagittarius-A into this? or is too far to even matter?>> <<@timothymclean says : 3:44: I wonder if there's a better way to distinguish between a planet/moon system and a binary planet system.>> <<@Gkitchens1 says : If it were true that the moon was orbiting the sun instead of the earth, the earth surely would have lost it by now, its been a while. Its sticking with us after [insert random made up number of made up years that we have no real evidence of] because its orbiting us lol>> <<@Gkitchens1 says : The moon cannot possibly orbit the sun as it is made of cheese. Cheese is cheese and it melts at a level 6 with deeper groves at a level 7.>> <<@Nysvarth says : So the thumbnail claiming the moons path is a dodecahedron was an outright lie then? For one, a dodecahedron is a 3 dimensional shape, and secondly, the moons orbit never ever changes direction at any 'corners' in the orbit.>> <<@โกศลตันติสัตตโม says : Your wrong moon orbits are around the Earth but the moon we think the moon is orbit the sun and I'm the only one that knows the moon orbits around the Earth don't be 0iq>> <<@jamesramirez0408 says : Idk tho, feels weird to say that I'm rotating around the sun and not around earth, cuz we can then say we are rotating around the center of the milky way, not the center of earth or the sun. We can continue that logic with other galaxies or galaxy clusters. It's just that we can't define a "center point of everything" since we clearly do not know everything that exists in the universe, whether it is in its observable part or not. This video just felt like those physics exam questions or lesson definitions that describe the situation as being "in an isolated space," because when we isolate the locations of the earth and moon from the sun, then it is 'logical' to say that the moon rotates around the earth. All in all, I think definitions like these that, vaguely, are involved in the logic of ones arguments should be defined clearly and visibly to not cause confusion or discourse that could be taken in other "ways," given that we are in a public setting where misinformation could occur easily. Hoping this is not done as a bait for viewers too though. Anyways peace :>>> <<@Bacon-Lev says : Well if moon would have orbited the sun then it would have leaved earths orbit which will make the moon orbit the sun correcttly>> <<@marcusgraham-n5g says : Nonstop contradictions.>> <<@headless-mushroom says : 😮 what if, we (the earth) rotate around the moon 🌝>> <<@RichiGZcandp says : 4:09 portal reference?>> <<@MO-R-70-23 says : Why am I only learning that the moon orbits the sun now>> <<@Dianaangeria says : ITS CALLED GRAVITY AND BECAUSE OF IT THERES A 99.99% CHANCE THAT IT DOES ORBIT EARTH>> <<@odnalrosabsurdworld says : once i saw a ad for this hand drawing thing that youtubes use. i dont know if that is this app or it is actually you drawinig, but if it is a app can someone tell me what it is called>> <<@Bear-re5xm says : is there any known satellite system that does produce loops!?>> <<@Tailspin80 says : 3:15 Centrifugal effects? I thought this was a physics video.>> <<@Tailspin80 says : I live on the moon. The earth just sits there in the sky and never moves.>> <<@ALivingAspectOfTheInfinite says : NoooOOOOO, ENOUGH. Nothing follows mv^2 /r = Gm / r^2.>> <<@thomasutsey2526 says : It's because the moon is moving away from the earth overtime>> <<@AlMcpherson79 says : Moon: I'm a small body that orbits a large body, wherein the large body is termed to be a planet and my small body has what would be a noticeable level of gravity should a person be 'stood' on its surface, in that jumping up does not make those people float away... like the apollo astronaughts minutephysics: earth's moon orbits the sun Moon: But that's... a planet Pluto: ... yyyyeaah about that Moon: NOOOOO!>> <<@docsmith9915 says : This is the best teacher of physics I’ve ever seen.>> <<@UltimaPickle says : Clearly, the moon orbits neither the sun or the earth, but the black hole at the centre of the milky way galaxy.>> <<@koushikreddyjanga363 says : Every comprehension out there originates from a set perspective cause physics is basically useless without a reference plane.>> <<@kobegarcia7635 says : Stop overreacting the moon actually orbit steals are you a dummy? 0:34>> <<@comradeghostboi7989 says : 4:43 Of Course!>> <<@markplain2555 says : This is so cool. The more I learn about astro-physics the more I realise how much I like it. . . I use to have an arrogant attitude that the moon does not rotate about its own axis but rather rotate about the earth's axis. Now for the first time I see, in context with the moon's rotation and the trajectory around the sun (and that the centre of the moon's rotation is to the side of the earth's axis) - how wrong I was. Man I really do like being proven wrong - it makes for a more exciting world.>> <<@dokerb3d60 says : sun and moon orbits around the earth>> <<@theepicawesome100 says : isn't the entire solar system itself orbiting around the galactic center? and if the moon technically has an orbit of its own around the sun, wouldn't that make the moon a planet? what about the fact we always see the same side of the moon?>> <<@ABhi-ty3dt says : You gave clarity on all the possibilities. But failed to separate real situation it feels confusing.>> <<@jakeaus1984 says : For 2 minutes I really thought the narrator was Jesse Eisenberg>> <<@matteolacki4533 says : Does it make any sense to put the origin at the sun in the first place? Those shapes will be completely different when we place the observer on anybother trajectory. From earth it is simply true that moon orbits earth and there is nothing incorrect about describing its trajectory as an ellipse or circle?>> <<@venus-8888 says : So cool THANKS☺️👍>> <<@EdKolis says : Oh yeah, the Spirograph!>> <<@Spacetimes_1 says : That is why the moon is drifting 1cm per year!>> <<@chetanphoenix says : This answers the question I asked my physics professor in 11the grade. HTH.HAND.>> <<@mikaelsoderberg69 says : I have been curius over the fact that the moon gains weight trough space dust and meteors. Would not that in the end result in a collision with earth? Or does it loose weight in a form of a comet tail when it comes closer, which results that the speed kick its out of orbit again? I mean, if nothing orbits the same place as 500 years ago.? Where was the stuff when 70% of this planets species was wiped of the chart?>> <<@arnedeneeff1183 says : What if the earth moves towards the moon at times?>> <<@DRTOF-Official says : DODECAHEDRON>> <<@BlackDotPatrick says : You described your own video as futile.>>
