Carlos mathematically can’t lose cause he can martingale endlessly. Especially if he starts his betting increments very low. If he starts his first bet at $100 as you suggested then he could double up after every loss. After 10 losses in a row and double up every loss Carlos would have lost around 100k but Carlos only need to hit once. So Carlos bets 100k on his 11th hand and wins. He’s effectively broken even. He lost 10 hands and only won 1 yet he still hasn’t lost any money. You may be thinking that’s insane who would do that. Carlos. Carlos should do that. 100k is toilet paper to a trillionaire. But Carlos is a pussy so here we are.

My online experience, is always pretty mutch the same. i manage to to win after a fresh deposit, but in case i cancel a withdrawal to win more, its always straight losses, even covering 30 numbers in roulette 😅 i lost my head because of this. Chat gpt explained me, how online casino's even track your mousemovement and recognize behavior like this, chasing losses, cancel withdrawal etc.

So are you trying to say; the more you stay and play, the more you are reducing your chances of winning? And furthermore the more you loose?!! And if that is the case what happens to having a positive expected value assuming a scenario that a professional has spot a mathematical advantage or is that that one cannot find a positive expected value in roulette? Given that a positive expected value is a very vital attribute towards making money betting on the long run

Love it! I’m an Advantage Player part time. Explaining EV to people is ridiculously hard. As a side note… blackjack has about a 0.5% house edge IF YOU PLAY PERFECT BASIC STRATEGY. No one knows perfect basic strategy except card counters (not even dealers), but you can actually print off a strategy chart and use it at the table.

If you want to give yourself a high percentage of winning you most certainly DO NIT need to bet more. Only if you play games for the rubes, so anything other than poker and counting cards. If you can’t do those well don’t go to a casino expecting to make anything. View your gambling money as an expense and if you happen to get lucky do not spend the winnings.

I only need to know a few things to be certain to avoid casinos. The first is the entire environment is highly engineered using data collected by psychologists that engage dopamine release, drinking and risk taking. The second is something well known by behavioral psychologists. That is a differential reinforcement schedule produces the highest rate of response. More simply, when a large reward is highly unpredictable, we attentively engage in responding. Choose not being a cow enjoying the trip to the slaughter house.

Mathematics and gambling are like oil and water. What being meant here refers to nerdy mathematicians. Not that maths is unimportant and left out, but just strong arithmetics is sufficient. Mathematicians would make terrible gamblers. They would be too busy thinking, counting and calculating everything before they even lay their first bets, whereas gamblers go by their intuitions, feel and the flow of the events ever so knowing the odds are always against them! But the real trouble is, a large number of the occasional and casual gamblers are terrible at arithmetics!

Guerilla tactic work. The machine is very intelligent, it lure you by letting you win first, then it get all you win later. So if you put in 100, win 30, get out. I like to play with machine. Blackjack with dealer, same tactic. Most of the time you won and want to win more and more….it come out you lost all.

brilliant analysis! the only variable missing is the "luck" factor which is impossible to quantify - e.g., perhaps it was Alice or Carlos's lucky day and they had a string of 100 1$ wins (statistically very unlikely but possible) ... this is why otherwise intelligent people gamble as hope springs eternal ... in the final analysis, for all practical purposes the house always wins...at least eventually - as long as they have enough money to outlast even the luckiest of players LOL!
