I've been thinking about it a lot, and from my experience I believe that what you do is not more wrong than schools teaching us that the Bohr model of the atom is correct, or other oversimplifications that they do so that the students get a sort of intuitive understanding of something so that in the future they can learn new stuff on more advanced level. What you do is as many say incredible, because writing a completely correct textbook although it is correct it doesn't always help with the intuitive learning, and things got to make sense for them to stick in the brain and enable deeper learning of the subject.
